Happy Friday Bloggers,
You know when we were being raised by our parents telling us all the rules, regulations, morals, thoughts, opinions, etc. etc. they thought we were not hearing??? We were listening, of course it took me a few years to admit that. When I am giving my daughter life instructions, school instructions, etc.etc, I have always had to keep on her to make sure she was listening. She has been listening.
Last week her best friend was over crying because she received two "D's" on her report card. My daughter let her have it, I was so proud. She told her how school is so important, that she is going to have to concentrate on her grades instead of all the drama going on in school. Wow, I was so excited. Of course she did not know I was listening. Everything I have stressed to her about school, she is telling her peer. Yea me!
This evening she shared with me about how much our society has taken away from the birth of Christ on Christmas to extremes. People go crazy like on Black Friday, how some people only care about shopping and the commercial part of Christmas. Wow again, all this coming from a tween. I am so proud of her.
My children's book "The Split Pea Soup Caper" is on sell on E-Bay in another country. I was so excited. I never thought this Oklahoma girl would be so far from home. Of course I bypassed New York on my one year journey to be on the New York Times Best Seller's List. Everyday is better and what we make it.
Weekend forward bloggers.
